Her journey began with the founding of Elevate Hair Studio—now Wyld Roots—in 2002, and in November 2023, she transitioned ownership to focus more deeply on her clients and craft.
Shelly specializes in texturizing services, precision haircuts, gray coverage, and lash extensions. Her true talent lies in creating customized, confidence-boosting looks that enhance each client’s natural beauty. Known for her attention to detail and personal connection with clients, Shelly is deeply committed to helping individuals feel their absolute best.
Beyond the salon, she supports fellow entrepreneurs as a business broker with Salon Spa Connection, helping salon owners grow and transition their businesses. When she’s not working, Shelly enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.

Along with her work behind the chair, she also takes on a leadership role, supporting and guiding the front-end and associates. In the future, Jess aspires to become an educator to share her knowledge and passion with those eager to learn.
